University of Oxford - diploma in fine art Professor Carol Weight of the Royal College of Art, as of Particular merit, singled out Malcolm's work. "I can recommend him without reservation".

1971-1980: Exhibitions include Malcolm Mason, Peter Tarrant, Recent paintings and drawings. The Linney Gallery,  Ludlow Artistic Cornucopia. Halifax House, Oxford Face of the Clee. Christchurch Malcolm is at present living and working at Diamond Harbour on Banks Peninsula. His works are gaining considerable international reputation and are in collections in New Zealand, Australia, Japan, America, Britain, China, Greece and Canada.
