"Living in Marlborough, wine country, means inspiration is on my doorstep!
Several years ago I missed a painting opportunity in our Bay, due to working full time. However, arriving for the LAST half hour to a scene of such frivolity, colour and artists clad in jazzy aprons, grey or dyed hair sticking out at all angles, paint brushes in one hand, wine glasses in  the other and works in progress.... MAGIC!
I took photos, and continued my love of portraiture on another level. 
Having won the N.Z. National title for an entry in the Peters Doig Art Awards, the sense of achievement confirmed for me I was O.K. as a self taught artist. And so "The Wine Girls Series" began.
These paintings have created a lot of interest both locally and internationally.
My wish is that you find these fun, have a laugh, and find as much pleasure in the painting's as I have had creating them."
