Amanda Johnson

After a career of almost 20 years in IT, Amanda is now doing art full time. Amanda attended the Julian Ashton Art school in Sydney, in 2002. The style she studied was the representational, traditional techniques of drawing and painting in oils.

Since returning to Wellington in 2003, she has continued drawing and painting, and has exhibited in many Wellington venues.
In 2007, 2012 and 2015, Amanda traveled to Italy to do summer courses in Fresco painting, still life, and portraiture at the Angel Academy of Fine Art in Florence.

Amanda specializes in portraits and figurative work. She likes to try to capture a quality of the personality, or God given inner beauty of the subject.
