Beth Te Aroha McGill

My acrylic canvases and feather canvases capture the detail and personality of common and endangered birds, flora and fauna of New Zealand.
My first exhibition was in 2004.
I completed my Diploma of Art and Creativity (honours) at the Learning Connexion in 2007.
I have been part of numerous group exhibitions, been commissioned by the Museum of New Zealand Te Papa Tongarewa for a children's interactive painted picture, as well as clients in New Zealand and Australia.

I have had five solo exhibitions.
I was accepted for a solo artist wall in the New Zealand Art Show 2013,2014 and 2015,2016.

My feather paintings came about when a friend said to me you" love birds you love feathers, why don't you have a go at painting feathers"....?
They started small and unframed, and whilst preparing my artwork for one of my solo exhibitions I decided to frame three and its taken off from there.
